Expack Celebrates Safety Milestone
Expack Corrugated Cartons PLC celebrated a major milestone on Thursday, 29th August 2024, with the felicitation of the Expack Safety Team on the 100th Safety Audit Day. This event recognized the team’s consistent efforts over the past decade in implementing comprehensive safety audits, as defined by the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) Sri Lanka, to identify workplace hazards and ensure regulatory compliance. These efforts have significantly reduced workplace accidents and have minimized lost man-days, reflecting Expack’s ongoing commitment to creating a safe and secure environment for its employees.
Over the last decade, Expack has witnessed a remarkable transformation in its safety landscape, with both the frequency of workplace accidents and the number of days employees were unable to work due to injuries (Lost man days) showing a significant downward trend.
